Face and name memory test
Three people, 20 seconds. Each card has a face, a name, an age, a height and a job. Then the cards go and the questions begin: who wore glasses, how old was Priya, what was the chef called?
What it asks about
Each question is about one kind of detail. Here's the habit that catches each:
- Faces. For each face: hair colour, then anything extra (glasses, beard, hat, earrings).
- Ages, heights and jobs. Tie each fact to the face: Priya, 34, nurse. A fact without a face is lost.
- Names. Link the name to the most distinctive thing about the person: red-haired Ruth.
Make it a habit
A test tells you where you are. Two minutes a day moves it: Clue Catch's daily decks bring back the kinds of detail you miss (plates, counts, what people carried) more often than the ones you catch.

Questions
Why are names so hard to remember?
A name has nothing to do with a face, so there's nothing to hang it on. Link the name to the most distinctive thing about the person (red-haired Ruth, Omar with the glasses) and it has a hook.
Is this a test of face recognition?
Not exactly. It tests whether you keep the details attached to each face: the name, the age, the job, and features like glasses or a beard.
